About Street Learning

Street Learning is a partnership project set up by Eastbourne Homes Limited, Places for People, Mears and English in the Community.

All four partners have a range of experience in delivering community projects, training and engaging with a wide range of people.

Street Learning aims to assist local people develop new skills or expand the ones they’ve already got. Street Learning can also provide information, advice and guidance and help build employment skills.

A menu of courses and training in local venues at flexible times will be available that have been developed in consultation with customers and the wider community.

We will also investigate providing courses designed for women only upon request and setting up online learning facilities.

Street learning will also ensure that learners receive sound careers, financial and benefit advice.

Street Learning Mission

To reduce social and financial exclusion and improve access to training and development which improves the life chances of social housing tenants and immigrants living in Eastbourne.
